The Bourbonaire Maker's Mark Memorial Single Barrel Mon, Sep 12, 22 The Bourbonaire Maker’s Mark Memorial Single Barrel “I am pleased to be a part of this double barrel release in honor of my husband. Henry B. Gray, Jr. was born June 23, 1969. He was an amazing husband, son, father, friend, and true renaissance man, but most of all, a whiskey aficionado. In August of 2016, with no symptoms or family history, Henry was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer, which metastasized to Stage 4 within a year. In October of 2019, we created the Facebook group, “The Bourbonaire” to network and educate those interested in exploring bourbon (whiskey), share experiences and do tastings, as well as, enjoying good cigars. On December 3, 2020, he lost his brave fight with cancer, but between his Sunrise and Sunset was a life well lived – The Bourbonaire lifestyle.” –April Gray “Henry was the most outgoing and charismatic person I’ve ever met. I mean he had to be in order to be our DJ every year on the Randall’s Mardi Gras parade float! We wanted to do something to remember Henry, so we arranged a group of individuals to pick out a single barrel in his memory and donate the profits to a charity that mattered to him. April Gray, Patrick Garrett (Bourbon & Banter), Andrew Chostner & James Thomas (STL Bourbon Society), James Miller, and Matt Bay (Old Man Bay Signs) got together with Greta Harper (Brand Ambassador) and Dawn White-Weeks (Beam Director) at Duke’s upstairs (socially distanced, of course) and went through the Maker’s Private Select process. During that tasting, we decided to create 2 different barrels with opposite flavor profiles.” -Todd Randall ALL profits will be donated to charities in memory of Mr. Henry Gray. $69.99 each or 2 for $130 The Bourbonaire – Sunrise, June 23, 1969All proceeds for this bottle will go to St. Jude246 Bottles: West/60, North/30, South/156 STAVE PROFILE:1 – Baked American Pure 2 (vanilla, caramel, brown spice)3 – Seared French Cuvee (oaky, caramel, roasted, toasted)2 – Maker’s 46 (dried fruit, vanilla, spice)1 – Roasted French Mendiant (char, maple, cacao)3 – Toasted French Spice (smoke, coumarin, spice)110.2 Proof – 55.1% ABVDate Feb 2021 The Bourbonaire – Sunset, December 3, 2020All proceeds for this bottle will go to the Peregrine Society252 Bottles: West/60, North/30, South/162 STAVE PROFILE:0 – Baked American Pure 24 – Seared French Cuvee (oaky, caramel, roasted, toasted)2 – Maker’s 46 (dried fruit, vanilla, spice)4 – Roasted French Mendiant (char, maple, cacao)0 – Toasted French Spice110.1 Proof – 55.05% ABVDate Feb 2021 Old Man Bay has created three signs that will be raffled off to anyone who purchases a bottle.
