Also we now carry Green Flash and Bear Republic. Last but definitely not least, the arrival of TWO BROTHERS. Come and get some of these rare Barrel Aged Mikkeller beers before they are gone!!!
It is due to hit in a few days and It is extremely limited. We have a waiting list posted for anyone who would like to try and get a bottle. Here is a review from SourMash Manifesto
“The 2013 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon (OFBB) is as epic a nose as you will find in the whiskey world – absolutely jaw dropping. The palate is perfectly proofed, harmonious, and on the sweeter side. I can easily say you’d have to look at the 2010 release to find an OFBB release as strong as this years.”
The European Union introduces the Euro; President Bill Clinton is impeached by the House on two charges, perjury and obstruction of justice; the movies Armegeddon, Titanic, and Saving Private Ryan are released, and a little store called Randall’s Wines and Spirits opens up on the East Side.
This coming Saturday, September 7th from 1pm-4pm, we’ll be celebrating our fifteenth anniversary by having a massive tasting at our Fairview Heights store. A $5 tasting fee gets you access to over thirty tables filled with wine. spirits, cocktails, and beer. There will be loads of new products to try, and many more old favorites on hand to enjoy as well. A portion of the proceeds will go to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
If you were around for last year’s Customer Appreciation tasting, it’s going to be like that, only more so. A party like this doesn’t come around very often, so be sure you don’t miss it!
Adding two new beers to the variety pack, Count Orlok And Oackkatzlschwoaf.
Serve in Lager glass, Shaker, Tumbler
Nosferatu (Bird of Death) a.k.a. Count Orlok was THE German Count Dracula. He was a blood-sucking vampire, but being German he must’ve enjoyed beer too, right? We believe it is so and thus have created a Black Pumpkin Wheat Ale in his honor…a ’beer noir’ if you will.
Serve in Dimpled mug, Stein
The beer is a classic Maerzen – malty yet well balanced. A touch stronger and just a hint darker in color compared to what is being served at Oktoberfest in Munich. Our fest bier has a tale and tail of its own. The name for this traditional Oktoberfest beer is Bavarian in origin and translates as “tail of a squirrel”.
