Made from 100% moscato d’Asti, the bouquet is delicate and intense with aromas of fruit (apple, peach) and spices (sage). The palate is sweet and smooth with lingering aromatic persistence. A refreshing and pleasant wine, perfect for brunch, picnics or poolside.
“Each year, one of the finest Moscatos comes from Rinaldi, and the fabulous label and hilarious reference to ‘bug juice’ only adds to the fun. This light-bodied, low alcohol (4-5%) Moscato is bursting with notes of honeysuckle, lychee nuts, peaches, mangoes and spring flowers. The intoxicatingly intense aromatics are followed by a wine with some residual sugar, although that component is well-balanced by the wine’s acidity and freshness. These Moscatos are best drunk in their first 6-9 months of life, so drink this Bug Juice up immediately. “

Yalumba Y Series Shiraz 2010
The Yalumba Y Series of quality wines salutes our proud history of viticulture and winemaking in South Australia. Significantly, the individual icons on each label reflect the labours, inventive thinking and aspirations of all at Yalumba.
This Shiraz depicts our coopers toiling in our cooperage crafting magnificent oak barrels, a proud Yalumba tradition in a wine world that has precious few of these truly gifted artisans.
The 2010 Yalumba Y Series Shiraz is deep crimson red in colour. It displays aromas of boysenberry and ripe cherry, complemented by a hint of cinnamon oak. The palate shows a core of sweet fruit that make this variety so beloved. Flavours of boysenberry and ripe cherry continue with a moderate level of tannin, full body and hearty finish. A perfect accompaniment for Mediterranean inspired pizza.
89 points- The Wine Spectator (May 31, 2012) “Lithe, with a pepper character informing the dark berry and current flavors. All lingering effortlessly on a velvety finish.”
Created to provide the perfect white wine companion to The Prisoner, Blindfold is bold and intriguing. In establishing our own spin on a white blend, winemaker Jen Beloz and her team sought out interesting Rhone and aromatic varietals that would nicely compliment a classic Chardonnay base. Through partnering with growers who are dedicated to cultivating alternative varietals in their outstanding vineyards throughout California, the result is a wine that is complex and delicious.
Aromatic and inviting, the wine opens up with subtle notes of mandarin and meyer lemon zest, complimented on the palette with delightful flavors of Anjou pear, roasted marshmellow, spiced apple tart and a hint of minerality. The finish is rich and creamy with bright, balanced acidity.
35% Chardonnay, 60% Rhone whites (Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc), 5% Aromatic (Semillion and Riesling).
Aged in 25% New oak (French and Hungarian), 60% Neutral oak, and 15% stainless steel for 10 months.
We don’t mean to correct someone with Parker’s expertise and knowledge, but Randall’s is actually selling this $17.00 Cab for $12.99 in IL and $13.99 in MO!
It is a very nice Cab for the price, well-balanced for everyday drinking. Come out to our Fairview Heights store this coming Saturday (11/16) to try it for yourself!
