Though considered a relatively young producer, at least in Chateauneuf du Pape, Domaine de Christia has grown tremendously; in acreage and quality. Found on the eastern side of the appellation, Cristia has developed in the last couple decades the “finesse, density, richness, and elegance” any Chateauneuf producer strives to achieve. Thanks to the superb complexities of their terroir, the efforts of Etienne Grangeon and his two sons Baptiste and Dominique, Domaine de Cristia can be proud of the wines they produce today.
Additionally, Wine Spectator seemed to enjoy it too. Listed below is their tasting note and rating for the 2010 Renaissance Chateauneuf du Pape. A limited number of bottles are now available at our Manchester location! We hope to see you soon.

“This has a lot going on, with dark ganache and espresso followed by roasted alder and juniper notes, before the core of plum, blackberry and steeped black currant fruit finally starts to assert itself. The long finish lets bay and tobacco leaf notes stride through, with a tarry edge as well. Shows great character. Best from 2015 through 2030. 500 cases made.”
